ASHEPA Announces Ghana as Host of 2027 Annual International Conference and Awards on 15–16 October 2027

The African Safety, Health and Environmental Professional Association (ASHEPA) has officially announced that its 2027 Annual International Conference and Awards will be held in Accra, Ghana, from 15 to 16 October 2027.

The announcement was made by Wendy Mwiimbu Mulawa, Chairperson of ASHEPA’s Conference and Events Committee, following consultations and a joint decision by the ASHEPA Executive Leadership, the Conference and Events Committee, and the ASHEPA 2027 International Conference and Awards Planning Committee.

The decision marks an important step in the Association’s preparations to bring together occupational safety, health and environmental professionals, industry leaders, policymakers, researchers, academics and representatives of professional institutions from across Africa and the international community.

The two-day event is expected to provide a platform for professional networking, knowledge exchange, institutional collaboration and discussions on current and emerging challenges affecting occupational safety, health and environmental management.

A major highlight of the event will be the ASHEPA International Awards, which will recognise individuals, organisations and institutions that have demonstrated outstanding commitment and contributions to workplace safety, occupational health, environmental protection and professional excellence.

The conference and awards are part of ASHEPA’s broader commitment to strengthening professional cooperation, promoting best practices and advancing safer, healthier and more sustainable workplaces across Africa and beyond.
